Pastoral Care & Safeguarding

At IMPACT, safeguarding and pastoral care are treated with the utmost importance, in line with the standards upheld by Tonbridge School. We are committed to providing a safe, nurturing environment where the welfare of every student is paramount. Our approach ensures that participants feel secure, supported, and confident to speak with trusted adults about any concerns.

Leaders reside in the boarding houses to offer consistent supervision and pastoral support. A curfew is set at 10:30pm, with all students required to be inside by 10:15pm. A night register is taken daily to ensure all students are accounted for and safe.

All staff are trained in safeguarding procedures and understand their responsibility to maintain a safe and inclusive environment. We work closely with external agencies, including social care and health services, to ensure best practices are followed. Students have access to multiple reporting avenues, including anonymous systems and designated pastoral staff. Safeguarding and pastoral care are continuously reviewed to meet evolving needs. We encourage all members of our community to raise concerns, no matter how small, and strive to build a culture of openness, trust, and mutual respect.
