Sundays at IMPACT

Sundays begin with the opportunity for a well-earned lie-in, a moment to relax, recharge, and reflect after a busy week of learning and discovery.

The day offers a choice of optional excursions and activities, both on and off campus. Students might spend the morning swimming, paintballing, go-karting, or exploring the historic town of Tonbridge.

In the afternoon, everyone comes together for a shared team-building experience designed to strengthen friendships, encourage collaboration and create lasting memories. The day often concludes with the Colour Run Festival a joyful celebration of community, creativity and connection as students look ahead to the week to come.

Our Hackathons

Our signature Hackathons are dynamic, team-based challenges that connect academic learning with real-world impact, highly engaging, fun for all students, and uniquely distinctive in UK summer programmes.

Hackathons lie at the heart of the IMPACT experience. Embedded within our distinctive structure of sprints and challenges, they form a central part of the multidisciplinary curriculum across STEM, Business, and English. Each two-week sprint features five six-hour challenges, all aligned to a central Hackathon theme. Students begin within their chosen Applied Learning Pathways before coming together to address the final challenge from a range of perspectives including, social, environmental, and economic.

For more information, please see our Hackathon page.

The Last Saturday at IMPACT

To mark the conclusion of each two-week sprint and Hackathon, students and guests gather for a vibrant and inspiring evening of celebration.

The event begins with a keynote address from an esteemed guest speaker, followed by a formal networking dinner with professionals from a range of industries. The evening’s highlight is the IMPACT Graduation and Awards Ceremony, held in Tonbridge School’s historic hall, a fitting setting in which to recognise achievement, growth, and perseverance.

Guests are invited to mark the occasion in black-tie attire, as the evening unfolds with dinner, music and dancing, creating an atmosphere of shared joy and connection. It is a time to reflect on achievements, celebrate collective success and look ahead with confidence. For some, the event marks the culmination of their IMPACT journey; for others, it signals the beginning of a new chapter as they continue into the second Sprint of the full programme.
