About the course

Students develop disruptive business concepts that drive societal impact and economic growth. They create and implement new ideas that address unmet needs or improve existing solutions ranging from products and services to production methods and business models.

In each two-week Sprint, students engage with five real-world challenges connected to the Sprint’s central theme. The final challenge, the IMPACT Hackathon, brings together teams to present innovative responses to global issues introduced by visiting industry leaders. Working in small, mixed groups drawn from across the courses, students apply the knowledge, skills and perspectives gained throughout the Sprint. Guided by the three pillars of sustainability; social, environmental and economic, they explore purposeful, creative solutions to contemporary challenges.

The Hackathon enables students to contribute with clarity and confidence, articulating their ideas and insights within a collaborative, real-world setting.
